How to Access Your Virtual Classes!

In order to provide your student(s) with our virtual training experience, parents will simply need to log into their parent portal where they completed their registration. Step by step instructions can be found below:

  1. Login to Kids Dance 411 Parent portal by clicking the link: www.joinkidsdance411.com
  2. Once logged in and on the home page, check out today’s schedule on the right side of the screen. Here you will see a video icon indicator that a class is going to be held online that day
    • You may also see online class options by selecting the Calendar icon.
  3. When it is time for the class, click the video icon to access the online meeting. Then select, “Go to My Class”

* Please note: Parent Profile and Online classes are best accessed using Google Chrome.

What To Expect

During classes, students will have the ability to learn from their instructors via our online platform. Instructors will be sure that movement is explained thoroughly and demonstrated from both perspectives so that students are able to both follow along as well as see details (head, hand, and arm placement, focus, etc.).  We ask that all students do the following to ensure a streamlined learning experience.

  1. Be sure that your microphone is muted during instruction.
  2. If you have a question, please use the chat feature at the bottom of the screen –  As always, please allow your instructor time to show movement/choreography before asking any questions.
  3. If your instructor does not understand your question in the chat, they will ask the moderator to turn on your microphone, so that you can get your questions answered.
  4. Confirm that your audio set up is working properly by clicking on the arrow next to the microphone icon at the bottom left-hand corner.
  5. In order to best view your instructor, click on your instructor’s profile to show the option that says “Pin Video”. This feature will allow your instructor’s video to always be visible while taking the class.

Helpful Tip: If you have an HDMI cord that plugs into your SmartTV and computer, you can set up your computer to display on your TV for easy viewing! —  Kid’s help your parents if they don’t understand!
